Halle Piacente is an Underwater Photographer, PADI Divemaster, level 1 F.I.I. Freediver, OUPV 6 PACK CAPTAIN, Digital Marketer, blogger, Conservationist, and Traveler.

Recently graduated in Spring of 2019 from the University of North Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration-Marketing, Halle is continuing her marketing career through social media management and digital marketing. She has also started her own underwater photography business based in Florida and Puerto Rico. One of her goals is to introduce others to life under the surface, showcase the ocean’s beauty, and how important conservation is through photography.

Halle Piacente was born and raised in Atlantic Beach, FL. Growing up with a mother who was a mermaid at the Weeki Wachee Springs Florida underwater tourist attraction, she was born with the mermaid gene.

Halle’s passion for the ocean led her to establish a dive club at the University of North Florida (UNF) in 2015. As President and Founder of the UNF Dive Club, she developed a leadership structure, marketing campaign, and negotiated with local dive shops that enabled the club to organize many dive events throughout Florida. The club was very successful with over 100 members within the first year. Her leadership led the UNF Dive Club to win 2016 Club of the Year and Halle was nominated for leader of the year.

Volunteer work is extremely important in helping give back to our communities, helping our environment, and making a difference in the lives of others. Halle participates in beach cleanups locally in Jacksonville Beach, FL and in Puerto Rico. She organized a beach clean up in Añasco, Puerto Rico at the beginning of March with the help of local businesses. She has also participated in several other causes that are important to her.

Piacente also participates in volunteer work with the Chariots of Fur Race, Donna Hicken Breast Cancer Marathon, CSX’s Santa Train, and CSX’s Operation Gratitude Movement.
