Want to visit Puerto Rico?

Come visit Puerto Rico!

What part of the island should I stay at? Where should I rent a house/apartment? Should I rent a car? What is there to do? Nightlife?

I have received SOO many messages about Puerto Rico and this is the best way to inform you about my favorite places and things to do.

Logistics

What part of the island to stay at: Rincón, Puerto Rico

The easiest way to get to Rincón is to fly into the closest airport, Rafael Hernández International Airport (BQN). This airport is located in Aguadilla, which is a 25 minute drive to Rincón.

Rincón is my absolute favorite town. It is very relaxing here with tons of activities to immerse yourself in. Also, it is not too far away from other attractions to check out.

Should I rent a car? YES

You should definitely rent a car. Car rentals are located right near the Aguadilla airport. Call in advance to schedule. I have heard they book up really fast, especially during Christmas break and Spring break.

Where to rent?

There are so many rentals in the Rincón area. Check out VRBO’s, Airbnb’s, and there is even a surf hostel.

Fish Eye View: I stay at Fisheye View which is at the top of the hill in front of Maria’s surf break and above The Beach House Restaurant. Fisheye View has a main house with an infinity pool, swim-up bar, grill, and gorgeous patio overlooking the entire Atlantic Ocean. You also have a beautiful view of Desecheo, the island that sits 13 miles off the coast of Rincón. The main house is great for large groups of people that are splitting the cost of the stay (more expensive).

Below the main house, there are two apartments and a studio. If you are looking to budget, I would definitely recommend staying in one of these (less expensive). There is a pool located right next to apartments and studio that overlooks the ocean, as well.

Why stay at Fisheye?

  • Right near the best surf breaks, beaches, and snorkeling spots on the island

  • Located right above one of the most popular restaurants in Rincón- Beach House (p.s. it is not noisy:) )

  • Best view to watch sunset and whales breach
