Welcome to The Salty Mermaid!

Hello humans and land dwellers.

My name is Halle Piacente and I am The Salty Mermaid.

I prefer to spend my days in warm, tropical, salty water while being kissed by the sun.

I am creating this blog in the hopes that I can educate, inspire, market, and share my ideas and creations with you. This blog is to share reviews about products that I have personally used and tested, collaborations, travel experiences, diving courses and experiences, conservation efforts, marketing, event promotions, and upcoming plans. My goal is to live life to its fullest extent, help our planet in as many ways as possible, chase my passions, and help others in the process, especially those without a voice.

A little bit about me: I am a senior at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL. I will graduate in April 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration- Marketing. I absolutely love marketing, especially the digital, analytics, and social aspect of it. I am an extreme water enthusiast with a passion for the ocean. I earned my PADI Dive Master certification and OUPV 6 pack Captain’s license recently. I love to travel and hop around the Caribbean islands a lot, mainly Puerto Rico. I am interested in a sales/marketing career in the diving industry.

I am hosting a beach cleanup in Añasco, PR during March with the help of local businesses in Rincón. This event has been posted under the events page and we cannot wait for everyone to come volunteer to help our oceans! Click here to view the Añasco beach cleanup.
